Holiday Closings  Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day (at noon), Christmas Day, New Year? Eve (at 6pm), New Year? Day, Easter, Memorial Day, and July 4th.

Inclement Weather   The YMCA will make every effort to remain open during inclement weather. Should you have a concern about a possible cancellation, please listen to WPHM/WHLS. The YMCA will attempt to reschedule the programs or issue a credit for missed classes.

Open Membership The YMCA is open to all people, regardless of race, religion, sex, national origin, age, or disability. If you would like to participate in one of our programs, and require special accommodations, please contact our staff and we will make every effort to assist you.

Participant Fitness The individual member is responsible for being physically able to participate in the YMCA activities that he or she selects. We urge you to take steps to insure your safety.  The YMCA strongly recommends a medical evaluation before participation in any fitness class, gym or pool activity, or use of weight or fitness equipment and may require a physician? authorization for membership and program participation.

Guest Privileges Guests may visit the Y three times in a one-year period. After that time, membership will be required for future visits. Guest pass fees may be applied towards a membership.  For Youth 18 and Under, when there are breaks such as Christmas or Spring Break, guest passes purchased at these times will not count toward the three time limit.  This exception also applies to any other school breaks you may have and to guest passes purchased on Saturdays after 5:00 pm.

Single Guest Pass Fees (per day): 14 years old and under - $5
14-18 years old - $10
19 years old and up - $15
Family Guest Pass Fees (per day): 2 to 4 people - $20
5 or more people - $25

Facilities Licensed Child Care, indoor pool, two gymnasiums, handball/racquetball court, locker rooms, Duffy Fitness and Weight Training Center, Acheson Youth Fitness Center, meeting rooms, Adult Health Centers with steam room and sauna.

Open Y Activities Equipment for basketball, volleyball, ping pong, foosball, air hockey and board games is available at the Front Desk.

Handball and Racquetball Free court time is available for members on a reservation or drop-in basis. Lensed eye guards are strongly recommended.

Please Observe the Following YMCA Rules

An adult MUST accompany children under the age of 12 at all times unless they are participating in a supervised program. Open swim is considered a supervised program.   Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult at all times, even in the pool.

Children under 5 may use the locker room of the opposite sex when accompanied by a parent. A large handicapped bathroom is also available on the main floor for parent/child changing needs.

Food and drinks must remain in the pool observation area or in the front and back lobbies.  Water bottles are permitted throughout the YMCA.

Always check in at the front desk by presenting  your membership card.

No Smoking   The YMCA maintains a no smoking policy in the building and on the YMCA grounds.

Duffy Fitness Center is for ages 14 and older.   New members are requested to take advantage of a free orientation or personal fitness program to the weight training equipment.

Proper Gym and Pool Attire
        Shirt and shoes are required in the YMCA.
        Gym:
T-shirts and shorts in good taste, gym shoes, athletic apparel. Street shoes are not permitted.
        Pool: Please wear appropriate bathing suits. Bathing caps are not required. Shorts and cut offs are not permitted.

Lockers and Valuables  Tall lockers are available for daily use only. Do not leave articles in them overnight with or without a lock. Kit lockers are available for overnight use. Using a lock on your locker is highly recommended. You may bring your own lock or purchase one at the front desk. The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.

Accidents  The YMCA does not have public health and accident insurance. You are participating at your own risk and are responsible for yourself and your children. Accidents, injuries, or unusual incidents should be reported immediately to the staff person on duty at the front desk.

Lost Membership Cards must be replaced.  The cost for a new card is $5.00.

 

Suspension of Membership Members are expected to practice good standards of behavior and follow YMCA guidelines. Members are expected to exhibit good sportsmanlike behavior, including no foul language. Members should show respect and courtesy to other members and staff. Please show good stewardship in use of the building. The Executive Director has the responsibility for revoking and/or suspending memberships in cases of conduct unbecoming a YMCA member, including allowing someone else to use your membership card.
