  • Your New Year’s Resolution Solution

Keep your New Year’s resolution for a healthier lifestyle on track for success at the YMCA of the Blue Water Area. A recent study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, states that committing to a specific plan to accomplish your goal makes it more likely to be done. A plan is like creating a habit ahead of time, before you have actually done anything. Let the Y help you develop your fitness plan with individual and group programs that are designed to meet your specific goals and keep you on track for success.

  • Set New Year’s Resolutions that Strengthen Your Life and Your Community

The New Year is a time for new beginnings! For the Y – a leading nonprofit that strengthens community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility – one of the most important resolutions is to resolve to make positive changes that strengthen individuals as well as entire communities. Learn about the five New Year’s Resolutions the Y recommends for 2012.

  • Helping You Find Balance This Holiday Season

It can be challenging to find time to exercise any day, but add holidays to the mix and exercise often moves to the bottom of lengthy to-do lists. Research supports that staying active will give you energy, help lessen holiday tension and, of course, help counteract some of the extra calories you may be eating. The Y is here to help you keep balance this holiday season and change the odds in your favor.

  • Jingle Bell Run Results

First, a note from our partners at Elite Feet—To all Participants of the Jingle Bell Run and the YMCA,

The YMCA put on a phenomenal race, and the only negative part was the timing which was done by Elite Feet Coaching and Timing.

We are very sorry for not having the results directly after the race. Unfortunately there were some technical difficulties that arose which forbade us from having the results in a timely manner. We greatly appreciate your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience we have caused. As a result of this issue, and in order to prevent this from happening in the future, new procedures are being put in place. We would like to thank you for helping us to improve our operation and services, and very much hope that you will continue to support local events.

If you have any questions, concerns or comments please email us at Benjamin@elitefeetrunning.com
