Spring I & II New Programs schedule

Skip Beginner (1): Parents are given guidance on how to develop their children’s abilities and how to protect their children from harm in, on, and around the water; children are given the chance to explore a new environment and to build skills that add to their self-confidence. Both benefit from taking part in an experience that lets them learn and have fun together in the water. *New Class*

Skip Advanced (2): Parents will help their child become more comfortable in the water setting as instructors prepare them for independence and skill development. Skills presented include pool safety, appropriate class behavior, listening skills, independence from parent, as well as all the basics that are covered in Pike. Parents must participate, but the focus of class will be to get the child prepared for participation on their own. *New Class*

Trainer Games is not your typical fitness event; it incorporates teamwork, training and tenacity. YMCA members can sign up to be on a Trainer Games Team that is led by a personal trainer. Teams consist of 4 members. Each team trains for 1 hour a week for six weeks in preparation for the Trainer Games Events! Trainer Games Events are designed to be challenging and fun, inspired by popular obstacle style races. **Volunteer Opportunity** *New Program*

This is where all your child's hard work pays off. Competitive tournaments and rigorous practice is how this program will take your child's ability to the next level! We will work on plyometrics, strength training, and building a stronger core. These structured workouts in practice will help with developing a better attack, block, serve, set and pass for tournaments on Saturdays. For tryouts on March 15, 2016 please be present by 6:30 pm and plan on being here until 9:00 pm. A schedule with team practice and games will be given after teams are selected. Program Fee includes Tournaments, Coaching Fees, 1 Jersey, 1 Pair of Spandex, 1 T-Shirt, and a pullover hoodie. *New Program*
