STAYING SAFE TOGETHER
The safety of all our members, staff and volunteers is our number one priority. We have put careful thought and planning into our reopening. We have followed guidance from the CDC, state and local health agencies and public officials to update our policies, practices and procedures to ensure that everyone that walks through our doors can stay safe and protected. Ensuring the health and safety of our Y community is everyone's responsibility, and we've made adjustments within our facilities and to our guidelines for use. This means things will look and feel a little different. When you come back to the Y, this is what you can expect.
WHAT THE Y IS DOING
-
Single Entry/Exit
To help us maintain our safety protocols, we will maintain a single entry/exit point.
-
Regular Temperature Checks & Health Screenings
Members, staff and volunteers will receive temperature checks and health screenings before being allowed to start their work shift or to check in.
-
PPE for All
Everyone will be required to wear masks at all times, except while swimming. Staff may be required to wear additional personal protective equipment depending on their role.
-
Self-Scan
Members will be asked to scan their own membership card to allow for limited contact entry. Download your membership card on our mobile app for added convenience.
-
Regular Cleaning & Disinfecting
A continuous scheduled disinfection rotation will occur of all high-touch surface areas in addition to cleaning equipment and our facilities with greater frequency throughout the day.
-
Designed for Social Distance
All open areas inside the Y have been evaluated and redesigned where necessary to help ensure social distancing between members. Signage is placed prominently throughout the facility to drive awareness of this requirement.
HOW WE'RE ASKING YOU TO HELP
-
Stay Home if You're Sick
Members should stay home if they don’t feel well. The CDC and state public health officials encourage seniors and members of vulnerable populations, including those with underlying health conditions, to stay at home.
-
Bring a Towel, a Mask, a Mat and a Water Bottle
Members will be asked to bring their own water bottle, workout towel (towel services will not be provided), and a mat, if needed. Masks will be required at all times, except when swimming.
-
Temperature Checks
All members will have their temperature checked prior to check in. We will also ask you several health screening questions before you can enter the facility.
-
Keep the Children at Home
We are unable to provide Child Watch service at this time and recommend you not bring children under the age of 18 unless they are registered in a program.
-
Keep Your Distance
Please exercise on designated equipment only and respect all signage regarding social distancing. Maintain at least six feet between you and others whenever possible, ten-twelve when actively exercising.
-
Expect Reduced Capacity
To ensure proper social distancing, our wellness areas will have a limited capacity. At times of full capacity, you may be asked to wait until space is available, if necessary.
-
Remember to Wipe Down Equipment
Please help us reduce the risk of exposure by wiping down all equipment, weights, etc. with easy, readily available disinfectant spray available for use. Hand-sanitizing stations are conveniently located throughout the facility.
